Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India has taken the initiative to launch the PM Vishwakarma Toolkit E Voucher. The aim of the scheme is to provide skill upgradation to sharpen skills and make relevant and suitable training opportunities available to them. Through this scheme the government will provide complete free toolkit or will provide financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 to purchase the toolkit. An artisan or craftsperson working with hands and tools and engaged in one of the 18 family-based traditional trades in unorganised sector on self-employment basis are eligible for the scheme. The scheme will provide marketing support under which National Committee for Marketing (NMC) will provide services such as Quality Certification, Branding & Promotion, E-commerce linkage, Trade Fairs advertising, publicity and other marketing activities.

• Another aim is to enable the recognition of artisans and craftspeople as Vishwakarma, making them eligible to avail all the benefits under the Scheme.
• The aim of the program is to provide a platform for brand promotion and market linkages which will help them access new opportunities for development.
• The scheme also aims to provide incentives for digital transactions which will encourage digital empowerment of Vishwakarmas.

Benefits & Features Of PM Vishwakarma Toolkit E Voucher

• Through this scheme the government will provide complete free toolkit or will provide financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 to purchase the toolkit.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail the benefits under the scheme, you should fulfill these eligibility criteria:

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
• The minimum age of the beneficiary should be 18 years on the date of registration.
• An artisan or craftsperson working with hands and tools and engaged in one of the 18 family-based traditional trades in unorganised sector on self-employment basis are eligible for the scheme.
• The registration and benefits under the Scheme shall be restricted to one member of the family. For availing benefits under the Scheme, a ‘family’ is defined as consistingof the husband, wife and unmarried children.
• The beneficiary should be engaged in the trades concerned on the date ofregistration and should not have availed loans under similar credit-based schemes of Central Government or State Government for self-employment/ business development, such as PMEGP,PM SVANidhi, MUDRA, in the past 5 years. However,the beneficiaries of MUDRA and SVANidhi who havefully repaid their loan, will be eligible under PM Vishwakarma. This period of 5 years will be calculated from the date of sanction of the loan.
• Person in government service and his/her family members will not be eligible for the Scheme.
