About NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme

Recently elected Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu has launched the NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme. The aim of the scheme is to encourage the students and help them financially to complete their academic qualifications. Under this scheme, the Government of Andhra Pradesh will provide financial assistance of up to Rs. 10,000 to the selected students. Financial assistance to the students will help them to continue with their higher studies without worrying about financial crisis. Financial assistance will be transferred directly to the bank account of students. The aim of the government is to make students free from the load of performance in their academics by providing financial assistance to the students. This scheme also provides one-time reimbursement of Rs. 2000 for travel expenses to each student for the duration of the course.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail the benefit under this scheme you should fulfill these eligibility criteria:

• Applicants must be permanent citizen of Andhra Pradesh State.
• Applicant should be a student.
• Annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 2 Lakh.
• Students should hold bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, state institute or federal government should be held by the applicant.
• Age of the applicant should be between 21 to 37 years old.
• Student should belong to economically weaker section of society.
