People traveling overseas on a tourist visa are not required to get a Police Clearance Certificate from Indian authorities. On Friday, the West Bengal Police said that applications can now be submitted through the official website. All district police websites, particularly the Bengal Police website will provide links to the PCC application form.

Applying Procedure Of West Bengal PCC Portal

• First you have to visit the Official Website of the portal.

• The homepage will appear on your screen.
• Click on the Apply for PCC tab.
• A new page will appear on your screen.
• Enter your mobile number.
• Click on the send OTP button.
• An OTP will be sent to your mobile number.
• Enter the received OTP for verification.
• The application form will appear on your screen.
• Enter your Aadhaar details.
• To ensure that this is a valid application, an extra OTP will be issued to the applicant’s Aadhaar-linked phone number.
• The candidate will be asked whether the PCC is asking for job verification or a visa.
• The applicant’s permanent address will be sought.
• The applicant then selects police verification and provides criminal and traffic record information.
• The applicant must pay 300 rupees.
• The application will be forwarded to the superintendent of police or the local police station for approval.
• When the procedure is completed, the applicant will receive an SMS notification and a blockchain will be constructed based on their digital footprint.
