The Telangana government implemented a new scheme where all children enrolled in government schools would have breakfast prior to the start of sessions. A few State schools took part in the formal inauguration of the Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme on Friday. It would be offered to students in grades 1 through 10 at all government-run schools following the Dasara holiday.
The effort was launched simultaneously in a few chosen schools by the Ministers and MLAs from all 119 seats. After the event began, the ministers and students shared breakfast together. Telangana was the only state to offer breakfast to public school students in grades 1 through 10, and it will benefit 20 lakh kids. Given that low-income families make up a majority of students enrolled in government schools, this would allow parents to drop their children off at school on time without worrying about feeding them.
