Benefits Of SRISTI Scheme
The benefits of this scheme is given below:
- The government offers incentives for residential sector customers to get subsidies at a rate of Rs. 18,000/KW, which is determined using a benchmark cost of Rs. 60,000/KW.
- The government will then give the Discoms incentives for a variety of sectors, including the commercial, industrial, institutional, social, and government sectors. The government will determine the prices which are set at Rs. 5,500/KW, at a total cost of Rs. 55,000/KW.
- The government would offer a total incentive of Rs. 9000 crore for the construction of power plants with a capacity of 5,000 MW under this solar subsidy scheme.
- Additionally, the government would provide Discoms incentives of 14,450 crore to build 35,000 MW of solar rooftops.
- Additionally, this program would cost a total of Rs. 23,450 crore to generate 40 GW of electricity from solar roofs.
