Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, Government of Maharashtra has launched Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Yojana. Citizens of the Maharashtra State will be motivated to pay their due electricity bills through the implementation of this scheme. Under this scheme, the state government will provide waiver of 100% on late fees and interest to the consumers on depositing the principal amount. Along with this, those customers will get an additional 5% discount who have high tension connections. Consumers can also deposit 30% of the principal amount in one go and the remaining balance can be paid in 6 installments under this scheme.
