Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department, Government of Odisha under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its manifesto Odisha Samrudh Krushak Niti. Under this program, the government will procure farmer’s paddy at Rs. 3,100 per quintal and all procurement will take place in market through an electronic weighing machine. The amount will be transferred to the beneficiaries through Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT) within 48 hours. The government also promise to create 3.5 lakh jobs in five years. Along with this, the government will also provide a cash voucher of Rs. 50,000 for women. The party also provide the benefit of refunding the money lost by people who invested in chit-fund companies.
