About PM Yashasvi Scholarship Yojana

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, The Government of India has introduced The Prime Minister’s Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM YASASVI). The aim of the government to launch this program is to support the students who wants to pursue their higher education and help them achieve their academic aspirations. The scholarship scheme is for the students of class 9thtoclass 12th belonging to the OBC, EBCand DNT/ SNT categories.The financial assistance under the scheme will be worth Rs. 75,000/- per year for class 9th and Rs. 1,25,000/- per year for class 11th. Under this scholarship program the government has planned to offer 15000 scholarships to the identified school students of Class 9th to 12th across India.

• Applicant should be a student.
• Students must be studying in class 9th or class11th.
• Students should belong to one of the following categories such as OBC/ EBC/ DNT SAR/ NT/ SNT.
• Students should have scored 60% or above in 8th or 10th class.
• The annual income of the applicant’s parents should be less than Rs.2.5 lakh.
