About Odisha Laptop Scheme

Chief Minister of Odisha Mr. Naveen Patnaik has taken the initiative to launch this Odisha Laptop Scheme for the students of state. The scheme is also known as Odisha Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana. As we know online mediums of education are easy, but some families are unable to purchase laptops, so keeping an eye on them, the state government is providing help to the students through this scheme. Students who have performed well and excelled in their exams will be provided free laptops which will prove helpful for their further studies. Around 15000 deserving students across the state will be selected for free laptop distribution under this scheme. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 30,000 per student will be transferred directly to the bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to purchase a laptop.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail of the benefits under Odisha Laptop Scheme, you should fulfill these eligibility criteria:

• Applicants should be a permanent resident of Odisha State.
• Students should have passed class XII.
• Students who have managed to score 70% or more in the final examination are eligible to avail the benefit under the scheme.
• The age of the students should be between 18 to 25 years old.
• Students who have applied for the final CHSE examination will be taken into consideration.
• Apart from this, Shri Jagannath Sanskrit University is also included in this scheme.
• Students who have received the Upashastri degree will be considered.
