National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) is a centrally sponsored scheme initiated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at providing financial support to the deserving students from economically weaker backgrounds. The objective of the NMMS is to identify talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds and ensure they have access to quality education. • Applicant should be a permanent resident of India.
• Applicant should be a student.
• Students must have passed class VIII and should have enrolled in class IX.
• Students should belong to the economically weaker section of the society.
• Annual family income should be less than Rs. 1,50,000/- per annum.
• Both boys and girls are eligible to apply.
• Students should have scored 60% or above in class VIII or X.
