Minister of Finance and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Ajit Pawar presented the state budget 2024-25 in the assembly hall and announced the launch of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme. This scheme aims to uplift the social status of female citizens by providing financial assistance. The financial assistance to be provided to each and every female citizens residing in Maharashtra State will be Rs. 1,500/- per month. Financial assistance will be transferred directly to the selected applicant’s bank account. The state government will spent Rs. 46,000 crore to all the beneficiaries women of the state.
This scheme also provide free education for girls. Under this scheme fees of poor girls who falls under OBC and EWS category will be waived. Fees of about 2 lakh girls of the state will be waived, for which the state government will spend Rs. 2,000 Crore every month.
