About Mukhya Mantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Sri Himanta Biswa, the Government of Assam State has launched the Mukhya Mantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme to help the unemployed youth of the state. The aim of the program is to provide financial assistance to youth of Assam State for establishing their business units. The scheme will provide self employment opportunities to the youth of the state. This scheme will encourage high growth entrepreneurship through business plan competitions. The state Government will provide help in the form of financial assistance to more than 2 Lakh unemployed youth across the state. All the permanent citizens of Assam State whose age is between 28 to 40 years are eligible to receive the benefits under the scheme.

• Under Mukhya Mantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme the government will encourage high growth entrepreneurship through business plan competitions.
• The scheme will provide self employment opportunities to the youth of the state.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail the benefit under Mukhya Mantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme, you should fulfill these eligibility criteria:

• The applicant should be permanent resident of Assam and should be above 28 years and below 40 years as on 1st April 2023 (upper age limit is relaxed to 43 years for SC/ST/OBC category).
• The applicant should possess educational qualification as:
• Minimum qualification Class X Pass for general category (For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC: up to class X)
• ITI, Polytechnic, Diploma in other Technical Courses, Post Graduates
• Degree Holders in Professional courses like Engineering, MBBS, BDS, Veterinary, Fisheries, Agriculture etc.
• The applicant should possess skills, experiences, knowledge, etc., to undertake the income generating activities.
• The applicant should have a bank account, which has been opened before 31st December 2023.
• The applicant should have not defaulted any loan taken from Co-operative and Nationalized Bank in the past.
• Not more than one member from any family shall be eligible for receiving benefit under this scheme.
• The applicant must have valid registration in the Employment Exchange.
