Odisha Mission Shakti Scheme 2024

The Odisha Mission Shakti Scheme was introduced to provide interest-free loans to women in Odisha, empowering them. The objective of this initiative is to help women who belong to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) better their financial situation. They can launch or expand their enterprises with the help of this scheme. Converting self-help groups into small businesses is similar to their start into the business world.

A total of Rs 730 crore was allotted by the government to help them buy jackets and uniforms for their recently founded businesses. They intend to establish 5,000 shops where these women may sell their wares over the course of the next five years.

The main objective of the scheme is to assist women in achieving financial independence and to empower them. The Odisha state government created this program to assist women in the region in starting small businesses and other ventures. A beneficiary self help organization can apply for mission Shakti loans, revolving funding and seed money. There is no interest on the Mission Shakti loan. Through this method, self-help groups will be able to become self-sufficient which will naturally empower women.
