Makkaludan Mudhalvar Scheme has been announced by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu State Mr. M. K. Stalin on 18th December 2023. The aim of the scheme is to address the issues of the residents of Tamil Nadu State in both urban and rural areas through the camps that have been established by the Gram Panchayat. During the initial phase of the scheme, 1745 camps have been established under which the officers and employees from all 13 departments was stationed at the camps providing a lot of facilities for every resident of the state.
During the scheme’s initial phase up to 8.74 lakh of the public petitions have been resolved which are submitted by the residents. Under the second phase of the scheme the government will setup more than 2500 camps between 11th July and 14th September 2024. And by 15th October the authorities seeks to address the issues raised during this phase.
