Minister of Finance and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Ajit Pawar presented the budget 2024-25 and announced the launch of Maharashtra Pink E-Rickshaw Scheme. The aim of the scheme is to increase the self employment opportunity for women across the state and to ensure the safe travel of women. This scheme helps to open the doors of self employment opportunity for women to earn more money for their family. In the first phase of the scheme, about 10,000 women from 17 cities of Maharashtra will be selected to receive the financial assistance to purchase E-Rickshaw. Financial assistance of up to Rs. 80,000 will be provided to the eligible female candidates to purchase e-rickshaw under this scheme.
