Application Procedure Under Maharashtra ₹1 Crop Insurance Scheme
To apply under the scheme, candidates should follow the below mentioned steps:
- Visit the official website at pmfby.gov.in.
- On home page select the “Farmer Application” option, then select the “Guest Farmer” option.
- Enter the farmers details as asked in the form such as full name, passbook name, relationship, residential details, farmer ID, account details etc.
- After entering the Mobile number click on “Verify” button. Captcha code will appear on the screen. When you enter Captcha, click “Get OTP” button.
- After entering the OTP click on “Submit” option.
- Then in Farmer ID select ID type. After entering the Aadhaar number, click on “Verify” button.
- A notification indicating the success of the verification will appear on the screen.
- The bank account details must then be completed. Click “Yes” if you are aware of the bank’s IFSC code, otherwise click “No”.
- Then choose the state, branch, bank name and district. The IFSC code will immediately appear in front of the branch once it has been selected.
- Enter the bank account number which needs to be confirmed and discarded.
- After entering the Captcha Code provided below, click on “Create User” button.
- Information you have entered will be displayed on your screen. Carefully read it and then click “Next” button.
- Now you’ll see information on your bank accounts. You must select one of the accounts and then click on “Next” button.
- To enter information about the crop insurance programme and locality, the state is Maharashtra and the scheme name is Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, followed by the Kharif season and the year 2024.
- Crop details must be provided in the Land Details section. You should fill the information below by clicking on this circle.
- You must agree to mix cropping if you want to pay insurance for multiple crops, such as cotton, soybeans and mung beans. However, you have to say no to one crop in order to choose the one for which you would pay insurance.
- Choosing the sowing date comes next. After that, enter the account number and group number. Then select the “Verify” option.
- The amount of area that is in your name will then be displayed on the screen.
- Click the circle to discover if your area is already insured. Then click on “Submit” button.
- In the Insured territory section, you can specify how much territory you want to protect. As a result, the insurance amount is either greater or lesser.

- Now upload the files.

- The crop sowing declaration form needs to be uploaded in the last. Overall format is seen in the picture below. Such a letter should be composed on white paper and uploaded.
- After uploading all three photographs, click the upload option in front of each one and the confirmation message will appear.
