The aim of the government to launch this scheme is to provide training and certificates to women farmers. PM has presented certificates to more than 30,000 self-help groups in Varanasi. Procedure For Earning a Livelihood By Providing Farmer Support Under MOVCDNER Scheme
Currently 30 Krishi Sakhis are working as Local Resource Persons (LRPs) under MOVCDNER (Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region) scheme, who visit each farm every month and understand the challenges being faced by the farmers.
They also conduct Farmer Interest Group (FIG) level meetings every week, which includes training the farmers, interacting and understanding the challenges being faced by the farmers, understanding the functioning and marketing activities of FPOs and maintaining farmer diaries. They will receive a resource fee of Rs. 4,500 per month for these activities.
