About Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched the Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme. Under this scheme the amount of Rs. 708.68 crore will be directly deposited into the joint accounts of mother and students in the form of fee reimbursement. This amount will be disbursed to the total of 9,44,666 students all over the state of Andhra Pradesh for the quarterly fees of October -December month under this scheme. About 93% of the students across Andhra Pradesh State who are pursuing ITI, Polytechnic, Graduation, Engineering, Medical and other courses are receiving the benefits of full fee reimbursement under this Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail the benefit under this scheme you should fulfill these eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be permanent citizen of Andhra Pradesh State.
  • Students should be pursuing ITI, Polytechnic or Graduation.
  • Students must be enrolled in the institutions which are Government or Government Aided or Private Colleges affiliated with State Universities/Boards.
  • No member of the family should be a tax payee.
  • No member of the family should own a four-wheeler (taxies/ tractors/ autos are exempted).
  • Annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 2.50 Lakh.
  • 75% of the aggregate attendance is mandatory for release of scholarships.
