- The citizen can access the Citizen Schemes Portal main page by logging in with the Aadhaar tagged mobile OTP authentication.

- The Executive Director of the Backward Classes Corporations (ED BCs) verifies the application and offers relevant comments.
- Based on the suggestions made by the ED BCs and the applicant’s eligibility as determined by the Scheme Eligibility Calculator, the Social Audit lists which comprise the Provisional eligible list and Re Verification list (with causes for ineligibility) are released in all secretariats.
- Residents on the Reverification list have the option to register a grievance if they think the stated reason for ineligibility is untrue.
- The final list of Beneficiaries Who Are Eligible and Who Are Not is released by each secretariat.
- Any of the individuals on the Final Ineligible list have the option to register a grievance through the Citizen Schemes Portal if they feel that their reason for rejection was unreasonable.
- To ensure that all eligible participants receive their plan benefit, the Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) is implemented. eKYC (Biometric Authentication) is used by the Volunteers, WEAs and WWDS to verify that the beneficiary has received the funds.
