Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Damodar Das Modi has introduced Free Silai Machine Yojana which is an innovative step towards women employment. The aim of the scheme is to provide free sewing machines to all the workers and women of poor families of the country, so that they can work from home and take care of their family.

Eligibility Criteria

To receive the benefit under this scheme, you should fulfill these following eligibility criteria, which are as follows:

• Applicant must be permanent citizen of India.
• Applicant must be a women.
• Age of the women should be between 20 to 40 years.
• Income of the husband should not be more than Rs. 12,000 per month.
• The scheme will specially supports those women who belongs to economically weaker section of society.
• Especially handicapped and widowed women will be given priority under this scheme.

Candidates should have these following documents to receive the benefit under the scheme:

• Income Certificate below Rs.12000/- (from Tahsildar)
• Proof for Age (20 to 40 years)
• If Handicapped (medical certificate)
• If Destitute (widow certificate should be enclosed)
• Community Certificate
• If deserted wife certificate should be enclosed
• Proof for knowing Tailoring
• Passport size photo
