Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India has introduced the EGram Swaraj. The platform was developed on the National day of Panchayati Raj, 24th April 2020. Panchayati Raj institutions (PRIs) plays a crucial rule in the provision of various services and basic amenities to rural citizens. This portal functions as the digital collaborative platform for PRIs and all other stakeholders.It has been monumental in bringing together a tech-based, integrated system of information collection, micro-level planning, and work-based accounting for Panchayats, the grassroot level of self-governance In less than two years. The platform has collected about 2.75 lakh entities (PRIs or equivalent) with user base of about 7 lakh, distributed across 28 States and 8 Union Territories.
