CUET 2025 Exam Pattern and CUET Marking Scheme for CUET UG 2025 plays an important role when you start preparing for the exam. According to the marking scheme of CUET, the candidates will be granted 5 marks for every correct answer. And for every incorrect answer, they will lose one mark. About CUET Marking Scheme

National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched Common University Entrance Test (CUET) in March 2022 which is a standardized exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses, certificates, certification courses, and research programs. However, to start preparing for CUET 2025, the candidate must be familiar with the examination pattern. There will be three slots for the CUET exam this year in accordance with the number of test takers and their choice of subjects. Besides this, the NTA will announce the final timings of the exam as soon as possible.

Applicants can select a maximum of 10 subjects from all three sections this year. In sections 1A and 1B, 40 out of 50 questions should be attempted in each language. In Section 2, Domain, 35/40 questions to be attempted out of 45/50. And in Section 3, General Test, 50 questions to be attempted out of 60. For PwBD candidates, 20 minutes extra will be given.

CUET Exam 2025 Important Points

Candidates should go through the following points regarding CUET 2025 exam pattern:

  • 40 out of 50 questions are to be attempted in all subjects including languages. The duration of the test will be of 45 minutes.
  • Except in subjects, i.e., Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer, Science / Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Mathematics / Applied, Mathematics and General Test, the duration of the test will be 60 minutes.
  • Compensatory time for PwBD Candidates of 20 minutes for each hour examination will be given.
  • CUET exam will be conducted on multiple days in three shifts, depending on the number of candidates and subject choices.
  • Candidates applying for CUET (UG) will be able to choose a maximum of six subjects out of 63 subjects and languages, including Indian and foreign languages, alongside the General Test.
  • It is advisable for candidates to select at least one language.

Eligibility Criteria For CUET 2025

NTA has released the eligibility criteria for CUET 2025. So, let us look at the eligibility requirements of CUET 2025.:

  • Candidates should score a minimum of 50% marks in their +2 examination in the General category and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates should have taken up subjects in +2 depending upon the course they opt for.
  • The candidate should be of Indian nationality.
  • Candidates should apply to as many Participating Universities with as many options of the programmes as possible selected under CUET.
  • Applicants can apply for CUET while attempting the qualifying examination of the university. However they would have to produce the passing certificate at the time of counselling.
  • There is no age limit to appear for CUET 2025. However the candidates must fulfill the educational qualifications to be eligible for the CUET 2025 exam.
