Under the leadership of Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra State Eknath Sambhaji Shinde the Maharashtra Building And Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board has launched Bandhkam Kamgar Yojana for the welfare of the construction workers of the state. The aim of the scheme is to improve the financial status of the families of construction workers.
On April 18, 2020 the Maharashtra Government has launched MAHABOCW portal to provide benefits to all the workers in the Maharashtra construction Department. Through this portal the state government will provide financial assistance ranging from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000 under this scheme. The government has provided benefits to around 12 lakh construction workers across the state during the Corona pandemic. The financial will be provided directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
