Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Sri Himanta Biswa, the Government of Assam State has launched Assam Apun Bahan Scheme for the government employees of Assam state. The aim of launching the Scheme is to provide interest discounts on auto loans which will make it easier for the government staff to purchase their own vehicles. The state government will provide vehicle loans with interest subsidy under the scheme. The financial assistance will be provided to those government employees who are currently working and their age is between 21 years to 53 years old. The scheme provides 2% interest subsidy on vehicle loans to male government employees across the state. Along with this motor vehicle loans with 3% interest subsidy will be provided to women and disabled employees across the state. The total budget of the scheme is Rs. 12 Crore.
