(ARBAS) Anundoram Borooah Award 2024 : Online Form

The Government of Assam has launched an award scheme which is initiated in the honour of Late Anundoram Borooah who was the 4th Indian and the 1st Assamese to join the honoured ICS and the 1st Indian to be appointed as Deputy Commissioner. The Government of Assam has launched Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme in the year 2005. In short, this scheme is widely known as the ARBAS scheme. Under this scheme, the state government provides financial assistance to the meritorious students across the state. Students who have secured minimum star marks or 75% and above in HSLC Examination conducted by SEBA, Assam are eligible to avail the benefit of the scheme.

About Anundoram Borooah Award

The Government of Assam has taken the initiative to launch Anundoram Borooah Award in the year 2005. The aim of the scheme is to motivate and inspire the students for better performance and to have first-hand experience with Information and Communication Technology. From the inception of the scheme till the year 2019, all the eligible students received 1 laptop along with 2 years 3G/ 4G Internet Connection Subscription, a certificate and books on all subject as per NCERT course in PDF format and Digital Content (2D/ 3D Animation, Audio/ Video ) for each stream and On-Line Coaching and Score Improvement System (OLCSIS) for Science Students.

Then from year 2020, instead of laptop, Rs. 20,000/- was awarded to the students, as COVID-19 pandemic badly hits supply chain and purchase of computer was not easy for government. Now the government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 to all the eligible candidates. Registration has been started from 15th July 2024, and the last date is extended to 31st July 2024.

Objectives Of Anundoram Borooah Award

The objectives of the Scheme are as follows:

• The primary objective of launching the Scheme is to motivate and inspire the students for better performance and to have first-hand experience with Information and Communication Technology.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail the benefits under the Scheme, you should satisfy the following requirements, which are as follows:

• Applicant should be a permanent resident of Assam State.
• Students who have secured minimum star marks or 75% and above in HSLC Examination conducted by SEBA, Assam are eligible to avail the benefit of the scheme.

Application Procedure For Anundoram Borooah Award

To apply for the scheme, please follow the below mentioned steps:

• Visit the official website bidyarthi.co.in.

• On homepage click on “Click Here” option under “Anundoram Borooah Award” section.
• If you are a new user click on “Register Here” option.

• And fill the registration form with required details as asked in the form such as, HSLC Roll, HSLC No, HSLC Registration No, Email ID, Mobile Number (Aadhaar Linked Mobile No.).

• Then click on “Send OTP” button and enter OTP, then click on “Verify OTP” button and finally click on “SUBMIT” button to complete the registration process.
• Then login using your login credentials and click on “LOGIN” button.
• Now fill the application form to apply for financial assistance.
• Click on “Submit” button to complete the application process.
