As we know that girls are always oppressed and have no freedom to live their life, keeping an eye on it, the Government has launched Anmol Beti Yojana Jammu and Kashmir. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of up to Rs. 5,000 per year to the eligible female citizens of the state. The Jammu & Kashmir Government is inspired by the Himachal Pradesh’s Scheme “Beti Hai Anmol Yojana”. About Anmol Beti Yojana Jammu and Kashmir

Finance Minister of India Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman while representing the budget for Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory for the financial year 2024-25 has announced Anmol Beti Yojana. The aim of the scheme is to encourage girls to continue with their studies and pursue higher education. Under this scheme, the state government will provide an annual scholarship of Rs. 5,000 to the girl students who belongs to BPL (Below Poverty Line) families.

The scheme aims to support the education of girl students and encourage them to pursue their higher studies. Some of the parents face financial problems in paying the fees for their children, so this scheme will support Below Poverty Line families in providing right to education to their children. The financial support will be provided to maximum two girls per family. The government will provide Rs. 21,000 in the post office or bank account on the birth of each girl.

The objectives of the scheme are as follows:

• The primary objective of launching the scheme is to encourage girls to continue with their studies and pursue higher education.
