About Abua Awas Yojana 2nd Round

The Government of Jharkhand has launched Abua Awas Yojana on August 15, 2023. The government aims to provide permanent housing facility with basic amenities to all the homeless and rural families living in kutcha and broken-down houses, by the year 2026. Last year in 2023, the state government received 30 lakh Abua Awas Scheme application forms under the program Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar. Under this program application forms of 42 types of schemes were filled out, which also include Abua Awas Scheme. Now again the Government of Jharkhand State is going to start the program “Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar” under which there will be new application forms for the Scheme will be available. Under the scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 2 Lakh for the construction of a three-room pucca house and the financial assistance will be provided in 4 installments.

The objectives of the scheme are as follows:

• The primary objective of introducing the second round of the scheme is that, such people who were deprived of applying for the first round of the scheme despite being eligible for the scheme can take the benefit.
• The government aims to provide permanent housing facility with basic amenities to all the homeless and rural families living in kutcha and broken-down houses, by the year 2026.
• This scheme aims to reduce the number of homeless citizens across the state and provide homes to the financially unstable citizens of state who cannot afford permanent house.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail the benefit under the scheme, you should fulfill these eligibility criteria:

• Applicants should be a permanent resident of Jharkhand State.
• Annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
• The second round of the scheme has been launched for such people who were deprived of applying for the first round of the scheme despite being eligible for the scheme.
• Applicant must not be under any other government scheme or should not be doing any government service.
• Applicant should not be a taxpayer to avail the benefit under the scheme.
