Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan Scheme
Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant launched the Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan campaign to promote solar energy in the area in support of the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. The purpose of this yojana is to encourage the usage of solar roofing. The scheme will expand the potential of solar roofs and allow individual residences to produce their own power.
Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is a central initiative that has a budget of Rs 75,021 crore and is scheduled to continue till FY 2026-2027. The Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan is first funded with an investment of Rs 35 crore. Customers that use 400 units or fewer a year will have the Goa Energy Development Agency reimburse the remaining cost of rooftop installations up to 5kW.

- Wait for DISCOM to acknowledge the viability. After you acquire the feasibility approval, you may install the plant in your DISCOM by any of the permitted suppliers.
- Once the installation is finished, submit the plant specifications and apply for a net meter.
- The DISCOM inspection and net meter installation will be followed by the generation of a commissioning certificate via the portal.
- Upon receiving the port upon commissioning. Using the online portal, provide the bank account details and a voided check. Your subsidy will appear in your bank account within thirty days.
