Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Ajit Pawar has launched the Maharashtra Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana while presenting the interim budget of the year 2024. The aim of the scheme is to provide clean cooking fuel which will improve the health and socioeconomic conditions especially for women living below poverty line. Under this scheme, the state government will provide free gas cylinders, specifically LPG to all those families who have total of 5 members. The government has presented the interim budget for the current financial year under which three LPG gas cylinders for free each year will be provided to about 52 lakh families of the state.
