About Karnataka LMS Scheme
Former Chief Minister of Karnataka Bookanakere Siddalingappa Yediyurappa has taken the initiative to launch Karnataka LMSScheme (KLMS). This program will make an impact on the learning and teaching by benefiting about 4.5 lakh students and 24,000 teachers. The estimated budget for the implementation of the scheme is Rs. 34.14 Crore in two ways which is LMS-based digital learning and 2500 ICT-enabled classrooms. The Chief Minister said that the KLMS should cover 430 government colleges of first grades, 87 government polytechnics and 14 government engineering colleges. Through this scheme, students can access study material anytime and anywhere. This scheme will help students learn anytime, anywhere, online or offline and evaluation of each student will be maintained in this system.
