Many women in the state are not financially strong due to which they are not able to fulfill their daily needs. Keeping this in mind, Minister of Finance and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Ajit Pawar presented the state budget 2024-25 in the assembly hall and announced the launch of Ladli Behna Scheme Maharashtra 2024. The aim of the scheme is to uplift the social status of female citizens by providing financial assistance to them. The state government will provide the financial assistance of Rs. 1,500 per month to each and every female citizens residing in Maharashtra who are financially weak and are unable to fulfill their daily needs. Financial assistance will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries bank account.
